My name is Tia Morris, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I graduated from Southern Arkansas University in 2016 with a Master of Science degree in Mental Health and Clinical Counseling. I provide individual and family therapy services. I have experience in outpatient, day treatment, crisis, and residential treatment settings. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. I am trained in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), and TA (Technology Assisted Counseling).
I believe everyone is capable of change. Meaning, we are capable of overcoming difficulties and becoming the person we want to be in order to live the best life possible. Change allows us to grow in all aspects of our lives. Everyone makes mistakes, but these mistakes do not define who we are as a person. Life is hard. It is okay not to be okay. It is okay to not know what to do. This is where therapy comes into play. I am here to help you overcome these difficult moments so you are able to live the best life possible while being the best version of yourself.
Therapy is a safe haven that allows vulnerability, expressiveness, learning, awareness, exploration, discussion, processing, and openness. I tell people all the time that therapy isn’t always butterflies and rainbows, there are going to be difficult moments, but there are also going to be moments of enlightenment and insight, these are the moments I live for. These are the moments when change occurs and lives are transformed. We might laugh and we might cry, but we will get through it together.
